In ancient times women in villages would leave their homes after nightfall to gallivant in the forests. This was done not because they where practicing witch craft which was the common belief at the time but because they where having fun. They where shedding themselves of the oppression they faced at home from the patriarchy by literally taking off their cloths and dancing with each other around fires.
